Stopping brake fade
Even though a lot of fast paced racers have high-spec callipers on their vehicles, just like most original equipment everything is built to a price. Unfortunately they still use alloy pistons, lightweight? yes but also highly conductive in providing a huge direct path for the heat into the brake fluid.
These also suffer from expansion, meaning that when hot the pistons are prone to sticking and not releasing after harsh braking. This results in brake drag, higher temperatures and then brake fade.
The use of stainless steel has hugely increased thermal properties. This drastically slows down the transfer of heat meaning JP Brakes, with its maximised ventilation, brings caliper temperatures right down and prevents any of those performance sapping issues from occurring.
